Molasses Pump is positive displacement and has multipurpose usage areas. They are ideal for transferring high viscosity fluids such as asphalt, tar, molasses, corn syrup and chocolate. In addition, they are frequently used in the transfer of low viscosity liquids such as ammonia and fuel oil. There are two main moving parts, namely Molasses Pump, perimeter and idler gear. They are therefore safe, long service life and easy to maintain.

These pumps, which operate in both directions, have a wide temperature range in addition to a wide viscosity range. The Molasses Pump can be used in liquids with a temperature of up to 370 ºC and the output pressures are up to 14 bar depending on the viscosity of the liquid. During the operation of the Molasses Pump, it transmits the rotational movement of the circumferential gear pump shaft to the idler gear.

In each revolution of the Molasses Pump, the gears are separated from each other in the suction nozzle to create a vacuum and the liquid flows into the pump. The liquid separates the crescent fluid from the pump cover while advancing through the cavity and prevents it from flowing through the discharge port into the suction port. When the gears are intertwined in the discharge port, the volume is reduced and the pressure is pushed out by the liquid. At each turn of the pump shaft, the liquid is transferred to the volume of the pump. The pump is therefore directly proportional to its capacity, size and speed.
